“FGF has reminded me how to have fun in the midst of hard work…It has challenged my belief in myself. There is nothing worse than being the obstacle in your own path.”

I've played team sports all my life, but after college I moved from California to Spokane and didn't feel confident to join a random team with random people. It's difficult for me to try new things. Thankfully, Michelle and Natasha invited me to try FGF. I had no idea what I was doing the first few times I attended. I truly appreciated the coaches and members who kept an eye on me and taught me proper form for lifts I had never done. There is genuine community here.

The community, passion, inspiration, and tenacity of FGF. FGF has become a sacred place where seemingly minor accomplishments are celebrated. FGF has reminded me how to have fun in the midst of hard work. To the 6:30am crew and coaches, thank you.

“True belonging is the spiritual practice of believing in and belonging to yourself so deeply that you can share your most authentic self with the world and find sacredness in both being a part of something and standing alone in the wilderness. True belonging doesn't require you to change who you are; it requires you to be who you are.” Dr. Brene Brown
